GM has run the Duramax through several turbo setups since 2001, and the parts do not cross over: an LB7 turbo bolts to nothing on an L5P truck. LLY / LBZ / LMM (2004.5-2010)

LML (2011-2016)

This generation has the widest range between "just replace it" and "make more power."
