A clean side separator catches oil vapor being pulled back into your intake tract, on the opposite side from where a catch can works. It keeps the intake side of the engine cleaner over the life of the truck.
why this one — The 5.0L Coyote version for 2015-2020 trucks. Port injection means the valve-coking problem is milder than on an EcoBoost, but the separator still keeps oil out of the intake tract.
