The cold-side charge pipe is the tube that carries cooled, pressurized air from the intercooler into the engine. Ford used plastic there from the factory, and it can crack or blow off under boost. This kit swaps it for aluminum pipe with silicone boots and stainless clamps.

The stock plastic cold-side pipe is a well-known weak point on the 2011-2016 6.7L, and it usually lets go at the worst moment, under load.
