A finned cast aluminum cover that replaces the stamped steel factory cover on the rear differential. It holds about 0.8 quart more gear oil and sheds heat better, with internal scrapers that keep oil off the ring gear where it just churns.

why this one — This is the one that actually fits, and on an F-450 that is the whole story. The 2023 and newer F-450 runs a Dana M315 rear axle, not the axle under an F-250 or F-350, so a generic Super Duty diff cover will not bolt on no matter how many Ford trucks the box lists.
