Exhaust manifolds and up-pipes are the pipes that carry exhaust from the cylinder heads into the turbo. This kit replaces both sides with cast high-silicon moly iron manifolds and internally sleeved 304 stainless up-pipes.

why this one — Factory Duramax up-pipes use a bellows joint that cracks and leaks as it ages and heat-cycles, which costs you boost and makes the truck sound like it has an exhaust leak, because it does. This kit fixes that failure point and opens up flow at the same time. Be clear-eyed about it though: PPE publishes no hp or EGT number for this kit, so treat it as a repair-and-improve part rather than a power part, and the manifolds sit buried against the firewall so it is a knuckle-busting job.
