A pair of small LED pods mounted at the rear of the truck to light up where you are backing into. The factory reverse lights on an HD are weak, which is the usual complaint when you are hitching a gooseneck or backing a trailer into a dark spot. The kit includes the pods, stainless mounting hardware and a wiring harness. Baja Designs rates each pod at 1,581 lumens with a wide cornering beam.

why this one — The most useful lighting purchase for anyone who tows after dark, and it is the cheapest lighting item here. It aims a genuinely wide spread right behind the bumper rather than throwing a spot down the road. The trade-offs are that it is rear-facing only so it does nothing for driving at night, and unlike the plug-and-play fog kit you are routing a harness the length of the truck, which is why this is the longer install of the two.
