A kit that mounts a Diode Dynamics C1R LED pod in the 2-inch hitch receiver, pointing rearward to add light when you are backing up. It can also be wired to act as a running light or an extra brake light.
why this one — This is the easiest and one of the cheapest lighting jobs on the list at $239.95 and about an hour, and because it mounts in the hitch rather than the bodywork it covers every 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 with no refresh split to sort out. The tradeoff is obvious once you own it: it lives in the receiver, so it has to come out any time you hook up a trailer.
