A centrifugal supercharger kit. The blower mounts to the front of the engine and spins off the belt, feeding pressurized air through an intercooler into the factory intake, so the stock manifold stays where it is.
why this one — The only supercharger here that covers both the 5.3L and the 6.2L under one part number, with a claimed 190 plus horsepower gain at 8 psi. A centrifugal blower builds boost as rpm climbs rather than hitting hard down low, so it feels different from the roots and twin screw kits. It is a tuner kit: no fuel system, no programmer and no tune, so budget custom dyno tuning on top of the $7,999.
TREperformance's ProCharger listing for the same part number (1KA202-SCI) states "a 190+ horsepower gain on just 8 psi of boost" - explicitly a GAIN over stock, not a total figure. The AmericanTrucks page (used for price/SKU/years) did not itself state a power figure.
