Replaces the left and right factory torsion bars with softer-rate bars. Torsion bars are what hold the front of a 3/4-ton truck up, and the factory ones are stiff enough that an unloaded truck rides harshly over small bumps. Softer bars let the front suspension actually move on rough pavement.

The honest downside is that a softer spring rate is a softer spring rate: if you routinely run a heavy front-mounted plow or a big bumper and winch, stay on the factory bars.
