The two rods that connect your steering box to the front wheels, replaced with much stronger units. The factory rods on these trucks are a known weak point and can bend or wear out, which shows up as loose, wandering steering and uneven tire wear. Kryptonite uses a solid 1-1/4 inch hex steel body with heat-treated chromoly outer studs.

why this one — The cheapest way to fix the single most common steering complaint on a Duramax HD, because it swaps only the two rods and reuses your factory center link. Kryptonite states these are pre-greased and need re-greasing every 5,000 to 7,000 miles, so if you would rather never touch a grease gun again this is the wrong pick. It also does nothing for a worn center link or idler arm, so if those are already sloppy you need the bigger kit instead.
