Headers replace the cast-iron exhaust manifolds with tubular pipes. This is Kooks' full long-tube kit: 1-7/8 inch T304 stainless primaries plus a 3-inch OEM-style catted Y-pipe, so the catalytic converters stay in the system.
why this one — At $3,776 this is the most expensive part in this group and Kooks publishes no power figure for it, so it is a buy-the-brand decision. Budget for a shop, 8-plus hours and a tune on top of the part price. Retailers also disagree on the end year, AmericanTrucks saying through 2026 and Beefcake saying 2024 while Kooks lists only "2019+", so confirm your model year first.
Only qualitative claims found ("increased horsepower. better throttle response"). A different, older Kooks SKU (2855H220, for 2009-2013 trucks) is marketed as "dyno and race tested" by some retailers but no numeric figure was found even there, and it is a different product - nothing carried over.
