A full replacement headlight housing with LED projectors inside, so you get a focused beam with a clean cutoff instead of the scattered light you get from dropping LED bulbs into a housing built for halogens. The daytime running light and turn signal are built into the housing.
why this one — The reason to buy a housing rather than bulbs is beam control: a projector puts light on the road and keeps it out of oncoming drivers eyes, and AlphaRex states these meet DOT and SAE requirements, which bulb conversions generally cannot. The honest downsides are price, this is the most expensive single part in this lane, and narrow trim coverage: no Classic, no Limited, no Limited Longhorn, no TRX, and factory-LED trucks need a converter that costs extra.
- Requires: New body (DT) only. AlphaRex states it does NOT fit the 2019-2024 Ram 1500 Classic, and does NOT fit Limited, Limited Longhorn or TRX trims. Trucks with FACTORY HALOGEN headlights are plug and play; trucks with FACTORY LED headlights need an optional converter (listed at +$55.00, not included in the price here). AlphaRex states the projection meets DOT/SAE requirements.
