An 18 inch LED bar that mounts behind the lower grille opening so it is hidden until it is switched on. The kit is complete: bar, brackets cut for this bumper, and the wiring harness are all in the box.
why this one — This is the practical light bar pick for an ordinary DT Ram 1500. It costs a bit over half what the Baja Designs Rebel kit costs, it includes the harness that Baja leaves out, and it fits the Big Horn and Laramie trucks the Rebel kit does not. You give up some output and some optical quality to get there, and it inherits the opposite exclusion list: no Rebel, no TRX, and no truck with the lower active shutters. Amber is offered if you drive in dust or snow, where white bounces back at you.
- Requires: New body (DT), 2019-2024. Diode Dynamics states it is NOT compatible with TRX or Rebel trims, or with models fitted with lower active shutters. EcoDiesel is excluded here as a precaution because DT EcoDiesel trucks commonly carry active grille shutters and Diode Dynamics did not call that case out either way. Installation needs the cover behind the vented grille removed, but NO DRILLING.
