The Derringer is a small module that intercepts the diesel's fuel and boost signals and lets you dial in more power from a control knob, without touching the factory computer. It needs a separate Banks iDash gauge (sold separately) to actually see or change power levels from inside the cab. Banks sells one part number that covers the whole 2011-2019 6.7L Power Stroke run, but the truck's power gain gets smaller each time Ford revises the factory calibration.
why this one — One SKU, three different published gain numbers depending on which year truck it goes on -- an owner of a 2011-2014 truck sees close to double the torque gain of a 2017-2019 owner with the identical part. We are listing all three bands so nobody assumes the biggest number applies to their year.
CLAIMED (manufacturer) - bankspower.com product page for SKU 66653, fetched this run, publishes three different gain figures for the same physical part depending on model year: "up to 72 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque" for 2011-2014, "up to 61 horsepower and 120 lb-ft" for 2015-2016, and "up to 59 horsepower and 106 lb-ft" for 2017-2019. All three are recorded rather than averaging or picking one; the truck's specific model year decides which figure actually applies.
Gain shown is a manufacturer claim, not a guarantee. Price is a list price and can lag the retailer; confirm at checkout. See how we check a price and our affiliate disclosure.
