A downpipe is the section of pipe right after the turbochargers that carries exhaust away from the engine. This kit replaces the factory downpipes on the higher-power version of the truck's turbo six with larger stainless steel pipes so the engine can push exhaust out more freely, while keeping the catalytic converters (the emissions device that cleans exhaust) in place.
why this one — This is the downpipe built specifically for the High Output version of the Hurricane six, used in the Limited, Limited Longhorn, and Tungsten trims.
