why this one — The dry filter removes the most common DIY mistake - over-oiling a cotton filter and fouling the mass-airflow sensor. It gives up a little to the oiled Pro 5R version (+19/+34 vs +23/+42 on aFe's dyno) in exchange for much easier maintenance.
CLAIMED (manufacturer dyno) - afepower.com states "+19 HP and +34 lb-ft torque", "585 CFM @ 7in H2O", "Outflows factory intake by 27%". aFe's own dyno, no independent verification found this pass.
