why this one — This is the correct intake for the older EcoDiesel, and getting that right matters because the 2014-2019 truck and the 2020-2023 truck take different kits that look similar in a search. S&B quotes the highest filtration efficiency of their two EcoDiesel intakes here, 99.51% to 99.57%, which is the specification worth caring about when the filter is protecting a turbo. Same honest limits as the newer kit: no published horsepower figure, and S&B says it cannot ship to California and is not street legal in all states.
Sbfilters.com publishes airflow and filtration figures for 75-5074 but no hp or tq claim. Airflow per S&B: about +22% (21.85% quoted for one filter option) over stock, filtration efficiency 99.51% to 99.57% depending on filter.
